Renegade aimed to create more spaces for athletes of all levels and backgrounds. Using Strava's tools to build an inclusive community, Renegade fosters connection, support, and accessibility for runners, cyclists, and trail runners alike.

The Active Inclusion Network has built a highly engaged community on Strava, empowering ethnic minorities to get active in the Outdoors.
Founded in 2020 by Haroon Mota, Active Inclusion Network is a UK-based national organization that champions diversity and inclusion in the outdoors, helping more ethnic minorities to get active.
The Network organizes three different clubs on Strava: Muslim Runners, Muslim Hikers, and Muslim Cyclists. These clubs inspire Muslims to get out to run, ride and hike, but are open to everyone on the platform.
As the club admin, Haroon has fostered an open and inclusive community that supports and motivates one another to get active.
On all three Clubs, Haroon encourages members to share their achievements, ask questions, and provide advice on any topics around an active lifestyle. Haroon also posts extensively himself, sharing his own tip and reflections, and regularly responding to comments from the community.
Doing this has enabled the Active Inclusion Network to build Strava Clubs that not only motivate ethnic minorities to get active, but have also fostered an environment that enables them to ask questions and seek advice in a safe space.
