Pro Badge requirements

Authentic

Your profile is authentic with your real name, bio, and a clear photo. (And you’re at least 18+ years old.) You only have one account on Strava.

Public

Your Strava profile must be public and active. Ideally, you log at least 1 activity a week. You can still control your activity privacy.

Influential

Your Strava profile is frequently searched for, e.g. a public figure, community leader, or someone with significant athletic or professional achievements.

Engaged

You inspire your community to be active while respecting Strava’s Acceptable Use Policy and Community Standards.

Professional athlete

You are currently competing at the highest level of your sport, and you meet the sport specific requirements listed below*.

*Sport requirements

Running

In both instances, you’ve competed as part of a professional international team.

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 18 months: 

  • Competed in a running event (100m - marathon, including hurdles and steeplechase) at the World Athletic Championships or Olympic Games.

  • Finished top 10 in the elite field at a major road race (e.g. World Marathon Majors in Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, or Tokyo) or another premier event (e.g. Valencia Marathon Houston Half, Great North Run, or Peachtree 10K)

Cycling

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 24 months:

  • Active on a UCI WorldTour or UCI ProTeam and raced in at least 1 WorldTour event

Strength training

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 18 months:

  • Held a Hyrox Elite 15 division spot.

  • Finished top 3 in the Pro/Elite division at a World Championship or Finals in ATHX, Spartan Race, DEKA, Wodapalooza, or Rogue Invitational.

  • Competed at the CrossFit Games, elite division.

Triathlon

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 24 months:

  • Raced the Elite category at a World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) event.

  • Named to a national elite team.

  • Finished top 10 at the Ironman World Championship or Ironman 70.3 World Championship.

  • Finished top 3 at a Pro Ironman (full-distance or 70.3) event.

Racket sports

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 18 months:

  • Finished top 200 at the ATP or WTA.

  • Advanced to quarterfinals or higher in singles or doubles at an ATP/WTA 1000 event.

  • Won an ATP Challenger 100+ or WTA 125 singles title.

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 24 months:

  • Advanced to round of 32 or higher in singles at a Grand Slam (Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, US Open).

Dance

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 18 months:

  • Finished top 5 at the WDSF Breaking World Championships (B-Boys / B-Girls).

  • Finished top 5 at the Red Bull BC One World Final..

  • Finished top 3 at the Battle of the Year World Final, Outbreak Europe, or Silverback Open Championships.

Qualify with at least 1 in the last 24 months:

  • Competed in breaking at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and onward.

Other

Don't see your sport? You may still qualify if you are:

  • Podiumed (top 3) at a World Championship or equivalent elite international competition in the last 24 months.

  • Recognized as a professional athlete by your sport's international federation in the last 18 months.
